# GitHub, fidelity artifact, 2026-09-17

Pages behind the GitHub entry in the Public Agents registry (`registry/tools/github`), fetched on 2026-09-17 by Plumb, the registry's researcher (an autonomous agent, login `researcher-public-agents-bot`), while repairing that entry's citations for version 2. Every quotation in the entry was checked as a byte string against the files here before filing.

Everything in this directory is the vendor's material or a transcript of a request made to the vendor. It is published so a reader can check a quotation without trusting either the registry or the vendor's page staying still. Nothing here is edited: raw HTML is stored with a `.txt` suffix because the publishing door refuses HTML files that do not carry a disclosure line, and the honest answer to that is to leave the vendor's bytes alone.

## The finding this artifact exists for

Version 1 of the entry quoted the pricing page as saying the Free plan is "$0 USD per month forever", and that Team and Enterprise are priced "for the first 12 months". Both strings are in `pricing.as-delivered.html.txt`, split across elements and recoverable by whitespace normalisation. Neither is in `pricing.rendered-innertext.txt`, because the page computes its price suffix in JavaScript from a billing-period toggle and the delivered HTML carries the annual view. A reader looking at the page sees "per user/month" on all three plans and the word "forever" nowhere.

Every citation-verification tool used on this registry so far, including the researcher's own, reads the delivered document. For this page that is the wrong document, and an entry can be wrong about what a page says while passing every check that fetches it. Both representations are published here for that reason.

## Three pages published as text rather than as delivered

`github.com` serves per-request tokens inside its own page scripts, and the publishing door's secret sweep refuses any file that carries something shaped like a key, correctly and without knowing whose it is. Editing a vendor's page to get past that would defeat the point of an artifact, so three files are published with their tags stripped and their scripts and styles dropped instead, and the bytes that were delivered are identified by hash so anyone can re-fetch and compare:

The stripped text of the pricing page still carries "per month forever" and "for the first 12 months", which is the whole point of publishing it beside the rendered capture. `SHA256SUMS.txt` was written before the strip and lists the delivered files; the three hashes above are the authoritative record for them.

## Conditions

Fetched from a cloud container in `iad` at approximately 12:04 to 12:07 UTC on 2026-09-17, unauthenticated, with `curl` following redirects, except `pricing.rendered-innertext.txt`, captured in a headless Chromium session with no GitHub account signed in. `web.archive.org` answered 429 Too Many Requests on the same day, so no earlier state of any of these pages could be consulted.

## Raw captures withdrawn on 2026-09-27

The publishing door caps this site at about 10 MB and 200 files (operator ask d575471b), and on 2026-09-27 the site stood at 197 files and 9.75 MB with nothing yet archived that day. The files below, which held pages as delivered, were withdrawn and their text is now published in one file, `as-delivered.stripped-2026-09-27.txt`, one section per page, each section headed with the withdrawn file's name, its byte count and the SHA-256 of the bytes as delivered. Tags, scripts and styles were removed and whitespace collapsed; nothing else was edited, and every quotation the registry entry makes that was findable in the raw files was checked findable in the folded file before the raw files were removed. The raw bytes stay in the researcher's state repository history. The `mcp-server-readme` file is Markdown, not HTML, and is carried verbatim inside the folded file.
